Prix Galien Canada - 25 Years of Innovation
The 25-year Innovative Product Award goes to Harvoni
The Prix Galien Canada Jury have chosen Harvoni (sofosbuvir/ledipasvir) as the 25-year Innovative Product Awardee. Harvoni (Gilead Sciences Canada) represents the first licensed antiviral drug that provided a cure of a major chronic viral disease, hepatitis C, with a relatively short course of oral therapy. From a public health perspective, this is a remarkable advance in therapeutics with the potential to eradicate hepatitis C in Canada in the foreseeable future.

Jacques Gagné Recipient of the 25th Anniversary Medal
Prix Galien Canada is pleased to present its 25th Anniversary Medal to Dr. Jacques Gagné for his outstanding contribution to the creation of Prix Galien Canada and the creation and development of the Prix Galien Research Award. Prix Galien Canada also wants to acknowledge Jacques Gagné's exceptional engagement in academics, in the development and the promotion of pharmacy and biotechnology in Canada and the recognition he brought to the other fields of life sciences.
